NACPH is a voluntary, non-profit organisation furthering public interest that acts both as a federation of local consumer groups and as a national pressure group. The main priorities of NACPH are to represent consumer interests in the legislation and ADR processes, to disseminate consumer information, to carry out research and campaigns concerning trade and services, to develop consumer education programmes and to consolidate and extend the network of regional and local consumer advice centres. It instigates public actions against several service providers, who are using unfair commercial practices and contractual terms.
NACPH publishes a monthly magazine, information leaflets and brochures with reference to different consumer topics (e.g.: bank credits, life insurance, package tours, food safety, misleading food labelling, e-commerce, shopping, guarantee and warranty, catering trade, gas meters…

MAG  Estudios de Consumo carries out its activities in the following areas: training and information of consumers and retailers; Training of trainers in consumer issues; Promotion of Consumer Education (CE) in school centres; Production of didactic materials useful for CE. It has led the European School of Consumers project for the Government of Cantabria, from 1998 to 2009. It coordinates the Spanish Network on Consumer Education, the Consumer Education Network for Southern European Countries and the E-CONS Network (Comenius 3). It forms part of the CCN Network coordinated by Norway (Erasmus 3) and collaborates with the Consumer Education Network of Latin America and the Caribbean.
MAG has a portal with 15 websites and the most important Spanish Consumer Documentary Center (INFOCONSUMO)

The Lithuanian National Consumer Federation (hereafter LNCF) is one of the most active NGOs in Lithuania. The objectives of LNCF are to protect consumer rights, economical, ecological and social interests, to educate consumers, to seek for integration of consumer policy to all economic sectors of Lithuania and EU. Reaching these objectives LNCF brings in experts of different fields, communicates with consumers, government, media and other interest groups, provides consultations, participates on radio and television broadcasts, internet discussions, publishes and distributes booklets, leaflets, magazine, makes familiar with related information, organizes different events, makes remarks and proposals by preparing legal acts. It cooperates with media by informing society.

The main objectives of ANPCPPS are to protect the consumers’ legitimate rights and interests, to raise consumers’ awareness about their rights and to develop projects and programs to this respect. Typical goals of the programs are: to inform and educate consumers about their legitimate rights, to protect consumers against the risk of buying or using products of an uncertain quality, to inform consumers about products that could be damaging for their health, to encourage consumers to use their right to choose, and to solve consumers’ complaints.
ANPCPPS  participates, as an advisory part, in the elaboration of national strategies and programs regarding consumers’ protection and support the functioning of local centres of information, consultancy and education for consumers, and develops its own activities for this purpose. ANPCPPS organises seminars, conferences, symposiums, in cooperation with other consumers’ organisations. It is active involved in the fight against counterfeits. ANPCPPS develops various campaigns and programs of education and information for consumers; these campaigns are carried on by broadcasting video clips on most national televisions and radios, by disseminating written materials (posters, flyers, brochures) and by organizing events on national and regional level.

The National Institute of Consumption (INC) is an information and testing centre for consumers and consumers associations. INC carries out comparative testing and conducts scientific, economic and legal studies. INC conducts also sociological studies about consumer’s habits and behaviours (in particular, food behaviours).
It sets up international campaigns, in France and as part of European Union programs, on themes such as food, food safety, nutrition, sustainable consumption, citizenship in consumption…
The findings of INC can be found in its publications and in other media.

CRIOC is a public utility foundation participating in the representation of the consumers, complementary to the consumer organisations. CRIOC carries out any scientific studies, analyses and informative actions about the subjects that are discussed in commissions and working groups, including their effects on every level of the public decision-making (at the local, regional, community, federal, international levels). Its research covers consumer law and commercial practices, consumer behaviour, sustainable consumption, consumer safety, health (food, medicine, smoking habits), consumer information… CRIOC disseminates consumer information by means of electronic newsletters and various web sites among other things. It develops a documentation centre which is open for the public.

Since 1999, the German Institute on Addiction and Prevention Research (DISuP) has been offering practice-oriented, applied science. It is involved in several projects on national and international level, e.g. the EU funded project Health Inequalities of Children Affected by Parental Alcohol Problems (ChAPAPs). The main focus of the DISuP is on social and psychological addiction research, especially concerning onset, etiology, prevention and therapy of addictive behaviour. Additionally the DISuP is carrying out investigations on alcohol and drug policy issues. The DISuP is also coordinating the European Network For Children Affected By Risky Environments Within the Family (ENCARE).
